Europcar UK has become the first car rental company to provide an airside rental desk at Gatwick Airport.

The new airside desk is located in the domestic departure lounge at Gatwick’s North Terminal and provides travellers with an opportunity to save time when they embark at their destination.

All rental paperwork is completed while waiting to board the plane, which not only gives travellers the chance to utilise the time, but enables them to pick up their rental car as soon as they arrive at their destination.

As an added benefit, Europcar customers can take advantage of the Privilege Ready Service by signing up at the airside desk. The Privilege Ready Service gives renters priority counter service when they arrive at the airport and eliminates the need to sign any paperwork.

“We are constantly looking for ways in which to enhance the Europcar rental experience,” says Sharon Tuckwell, regional manager at Europcar. The new airside desk at Gatwick is a pilot scheme for Europcar and its customers, and will be utilised in other UK and European airports if successful.
