Europcar, the number one car rental company in Europe has joined forces with AutoRestore, the mobile repair service, in a partnership which has halved the time allocated to repairing vehicles off-road.

Under the agreement, Europcar has a dedicated ‘in-house’ Autorestore technician with responsibility for co-ordinating vehicle maintenance. AutoRestore’s network of trained technicians then visit Europcar’s rental stations to carry out repairs. The time saving made by repairs being done on-site rather than taken to a bodyshop, has halved the amount of time allocated to vehicle repair ensuring that Europcar’s fleet utilisation is maximised.

AutoRestore has played a vital role in streamlining our vehicle repair process,” adds Michael McInerney, Fleet Director at Europcar UK. “The result is that our cars and vans are back out on the road in record time, further improving the service to our customers.”

“We work in a tightly controlled manner to ensure Europcar gets the fastest turnaround on a damaged vehicle,” says Chris Eldridge, General Manager of AutoRestore. “We therefore felt it was vital that one of our employees was based at Europcar to undertake this process, and this has worked extremely well.”
